I’m an Applied Scientist at AWS working on palm recognition for Amazon One. I joined Amazon from my PhD in statistics at the University of Wisconsin–Madison, where I worked with Professor Matthias Katzfuss. My PhD work focused on Bayesian optimization, uncertainty quantification, and approximate posterior inference, and I will be defending in the summer of 2025.
I completed a combined B.S./M.S. in Applied Math from the University of Colorado Boulder in May 2018. After CU Boulder, I worked in the Statistical Engineering Division at the National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST). During the summer of 2022, I was a research intern at Microsoft Research New England. In the summer of 2023, I was a research intern at Toyota Research Institute in Los Altos, CA.
